Ik ben geboren te Mechelen, 21 september 1949. Studeerde aan het Sint-Lucas instituut, Brussel.
I was born in Mechelen, Belgium on September 21, 1949, and studied at the Saint-Lukas Institute in Brussels.
In 1971 aangevangen met schilderen. Gouaches met een veelzijdig gedempt kleurenpallet. Hoofdkleuren gemengd met wit en zwart tot pastelkleuren.
In 1971, I began painting, focusing on gouaches featuring a versatile, muted color palette-blending primary colord with white and black to create pastel shades.
Van abstract naar modern surrealisme. Schilderde in die jaren voornamelijk problemen van die tijd, zoals pollutie, abortus, de pil....
My style evolved from abstract art to modern surrealism. During those years, my work primarily adressed contemporary societal issues, such as pollution, abortion, the contraceptive pill, and war.
September 1974: Selectie voor "De prijs van jonge Antwerpse schilders" met als thema: "De mede-mens" in het internationaal cultureel centrum van Antwerpen (Meir)
In September 1974: Selection for 'The Young Antwerp Painters Prize' with the theme 'Fellow Man' at the International Cultural Center in Antwerp (Meir).
December 1974: Honorable mention for 'The Friends of the Latem Museum of Modern Art Prize', Sint-Martems-Latem.
Subsequent joint exhibitions includedshows in Midderkerke, Hallaar, Antwerp, Mechelen, an Cadaqués, Spain.
Although temporarily ceased painting due to other professionel activities, I resumed artistic career in 1994.

In 2018, following my retirement from daily work, I resumed painting once again. Cadaqués, located in Catalonia, Costa Brava, Spain reignited my artistic inspiration. I continue to work using line technique, filled with self-mixed pastel colors transitioning from light to dark. Drawing inspiration from the well-known village of Cadaqués - the village of Salvador Dali.

Tentoonstelling na 25 jaar in Mechelen
Artist Marc-Albert Janssens exhibits for the first time in almost 30 years.
Marc-Albert opened an exhibiotion on wednesday evening, november 2023 in the showroom on the Veemarkt, Mechelen, his first in almost 30 years. 'During that period, I produced one artwork after another. My work can best described as constructive art: it consists of technical drawings to witch I subsequently apple color. I create my own pastel shades, working exclusively with primary colors and blending them to achieve the final colors used in my paintings.'

Daar James Ensor 75 jaar overleden was en hiervoor een wedstrijd was uit geschreven heb ik me laten inspireren: "Maskers die de dood confronteren"(1891)
To mark the 75th anniversary of James Ensor's passing, a competition was organized, witch inspired my work based on his 1891 painting: 'Masks confronting Death'

Als voorzitter van de Mechelse filmclub MECINA, vroeg Guido De Coninck mij 9 kleine werkjes te maken, met als thema "Oog voor fotografie, montage, klankband, verhaallijn, vernieuwde waarde, culturele waarde, sociaal aspect en documentaire-toerisme" 2 grotere werken als hoofdprijzen "Non fictie" en "fictie", Oog voor Natuur. En dit alles voor het 75 jaar bestaan van de Filmclub MECINA Mechelen, als speciale prijzen voor het filmfestival 2024.
In his role as chairman of the Mechelen film club MECINA, my friend Guido De Coninck commissioned me to create nine small-scale artworks (A4 format) centered around themes such as 'An eye for photography','Editing', 'Soundtrack', 'Storyline', 'Renewed value', 'Social aspect' and 'Documentary tourism'. Additionally, I created two larges pieces for the 'Non-Fiction' and 'Fiction' catogories, both themed 'An Eye for Nature'. The film competion celebrating the club's 75th anniversary was a resounding success. This assigment inspireted me to focus on painting eyrs in 3D. All of my works are accompanied by a Certifcate of Authenticity, guaranteeing that eavh piece was crafted in my own studio.

ART DESIGNED FOR BOTH INTERIOR AND OUTDOOR SPACES
Modern residential architecture increasingly features expansive glass windows, making wall space for displaying artworks scare. Consequently, I adapted my practice to create pieces suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. I utilize specialezed materials such as Betonplex, water-resistant varnish and high-durability paints.
To illuminate the artworks in the evening, I incorpotate fluorecent paint, combined with blacklight illumination. Futhermore, LED, blacklighting is intigrated behind the painting to enhance contrast, capable of displaying a wide variety of colors and dynamic lighting effects.
